Scientists Find Area of Prenatal Brain Affected by Autism Genes

Scientists say that nine genes associated with autism begin to affect the area of the brain called the pre-frontal cortex during the first two trimesters of pregnancy. A team of researchers from University of California San Francisco, Yale School of Medicine, and other centers published their findings in Cell in November.
